As part of Bug 1825039, we introduced a XUL and HTML document as a primer for people working on the desktop front-end UI components. The existing XUL archive has a wealth of knowledge that can serve as a useful reference, especially as we start replacing more XUL elements as HTML elements (Bug 1563415). There will probably always be some amount of XUL needed and having comprehensive documentation on the technology should be a benefit.

As a starting point we should port over the following docs (to be filed as separate bugs):

  • archive/mozilla/xul/index.html
  • archive/mozilla/xul/the_joy_of_xul/index.html
